Card: A Sketch Inspiration

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! Today's card was inspired by a sketch challenge and features the lovely Heart and Home suite from Stampin' Up! Last week I featured this set with a beautiful CASE and I couldn't resist using this set one more time.

And here is today's project...

Once again the colors are just the perfect combination to pull this card together.  The pop of Peach Papaya and Highland Heather are great in the centerpiece.  I pulled out an oldie for the sentiment in the Springtime Joy set - stayed tuned for more great works from that set! Check out some closeups below!

Card: Case it Up Wednesday

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I am glad you stopped by to check out this surprise Wednesday post! Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day and last weekend had us running from one event to the next! It took a few days to get into my she shed, so for today's card I pulled out the Mini Catalog for some inspiration.  I CASE'd today's card featuring the Heart & Home Suite from Stampin' Up!.

Check out today's project...

I am loving the color combinations in this suite! I think my favorite combination is the Misty Moonlight with Fresh Freesia for a soft and lovely look.  Today's card starts with a base of Crumb Cake and then layers on the beautiful DSP one layer at a time.  I chose to stamp today's sentiment in Tuxedo Black, but you could easily stamp in one of the coordinating colors for an extra pop.

I changed up my ribbon embellishments and decided to use some tied up pieces of linen twine and Fan Baker's Twine in Night of Navy.  How would you color the die-cut centerpiece? There are so many possibilities.  I wanted to try different styles so chose to use the Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils on the first card and the Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes on the second.  Both came out so pretty, but I do love the soft, subtle color that you can get with the Blending Brushes.

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Heart & Home DSP,
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Stamps: Blessings of Home, Honeybee Home
Tools: Flowers of Home die-cuts, Banner Punch
Accessories: Heart & Home doilies, Linen Twine, Fan Baker's Twine (Night of Navy)

Card: Blended Beauty

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I am excited to share today's card as it features one of my favorite punches.  While it may no longer be available, pick your favorite punch and place it front and center in this beautiful layout.

And here is today's project...

Who doesn't love those beautiful butterflies?! They were some of my favorites to work with and they have so many possibilities.  I also featured an older set for today's sentiment, but I thought it was the perfect saying to feature with these butterflies.

Today's card features the blended brushes technique on the colorful die-cut square.  I used a combination of four different ink colors to create the blended look.  Check out the colors and some close-ups below...

Use your blending brushes to work in each line of color in the order listed above.  Stamp the sentiment in "Just Jade".  Add some Matte Dots in gray as a finishing touch.

Want to feature your butterfly against a beautiful sunrise? Try the blended combination below...
Don't forget to use your Stampin' Blends markers to add just a touch of color to your butterflies! For the sunrise look, I've added the Black Matte Dots for that extra pop!

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Card: A Flowery Thanks

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post.  I'm so glad you have joined me for some Sunday Funday stamping! The sun is shining and it's been a wonderful, quiet day of crafting.  Today felt like a "Blessings of Home" kind of day, so I decided to feature the bundle in today's card.

And here is today's project...

I have to admit that I started out with the vision of a #simplestamping card, but the finished product ended up being the complete opposite! I just kept adding and adding.  I think that speaks to the beauty of this bundle because I couldn't pick just one stamp or die-cut to feature...why not just use them all! So I have the stamps, die-cuts, embossing folder and Designer Series Paper all taking centerstage today.  Check out some close-ups below.

I have found a new love of my heat embossing machine as well lately, so that lovely sentiment is heat embossed in a white powder.

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Basic White, Heart and Home DSP, Garden Green, Early Espresso
Ink: Crumb Cake, Versamark for heat embossing
Stamps: Blessings of Home, Simply Succulents
Tools: Flowers of Home die-cuts, Banner Punch, Hive 3D Embossing Folder
Accessories: Gold sequins, linen twine

Card: A Sunny Thank You

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! Today's post features the lovely Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper...because who doesn't need a little Sunshine and Rainbows in their life.  This paper was so fun I used almost the entire pack in one sitting - Now that's what I call a good crafting day!

And here is today's project...

For these fun thank you cards, start with a 4 1/2" x 5 1/4" card base of Flirty Flamingo or Mango Melody.  Secure a layer of Sunshine and Rainbows DSP of you choice - I think the dark blue with rainbows, sunshine and clouds was my favorite! Using the coordinating DSP and a piece of vellum cut a strip with the Banner Punch.  For the sentiment, I used the Amazing Thanks die-cuts with scraps of Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Basic White.  Add some white twine and classic matte dots for the finishing touch.

Check out some close-ups below...

Card: A Golden Celebration

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I'm so glad you have joined me for today's project! I needed a beautiful anniversary card to celebrate a beautiful milestone...a 50th wedding anniversary! I recently received the Heart & Home collection and I just had to use that set for today's card!

And here is today's project...

The sentiment was perfect here and it really says it all.  I CASEd the January - June 2022 Mini-Catalog for the layout of today's card.  Look to page 60 and you'll see a similar layout and the inspiration for today's creation.  I started with a layer of Night of Navy on top of the card base which is stamped with "Happy Anniversary" on alternating lines.  I really wanted to celebrate this card and used the Be Dazzling Designer Series Paper to help gives this card some pop on the next layer.  I stamped the beautiful, flowering image on Basic White and die-cut using the Flowers of Home die-cuts.  Add a white embossed sentiment for the finishing touch.

Check out some close-ups below...

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Paper: Night of Navy, Be Dazzling DSP, Vellum, Basic White, Old Olive, Mint Macaron
Stamps: Blessings of Home, Make a Difference, Well Said
Ink: Night of Navy
Tools: Flowers of Home die-cuts, Potted Succulents die-cuts, Embossing Tool

Card: Getting Ready for Valentine's Day!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I realized the other day that Valentine's Day is just a short 22 days away! What?! So today I got started on some Valentine's crafting! I pulled out some oldies but goodies and combined them with one of our more recent stamp sets for today's Valentine's Day creation.

And here is today's project...

So this is one of those "everything but the kitchen sink" cards! I love it when I can just have fun by adding...and adding...and adding! A sweet combination of die-cuts, punches, twine and embossing come together to create this standard A2 Valentine beauty.  I started with a base of Real Red cardstock and then layered with a sheet of Vellum and From My Heart Designer Series Paper.  Layered on top of that is a fun selection of hearts in all different shapes and sizes.  Don't forget to use your mini-dimensionals to create that 3-D look! I even pulled out the old embossing tool today and worked up the lovely "Lovely You" sentiment surrounded by From My Heart gems.  Check out some close-ups below...

Card Details

Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Real Red, Vellum, From My Heart DSP, Basic White, Flirty Flamingo
Stamps: Calming Camellia, Meant to Be
Inks: Real Red, Versamark watermark stamp pad

Marley is back today with a Valentine's Day creation of her own! It was a fun day of crafting in the she shed! She staged her own photo and describes this card as a "Valentine's Day card for Valentine's Day"...nicely said :)
