Card: An Ornate Mother's Day

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I have been waiting patiently to have some time to get into all of my Ornate Garden Suite goodies and I finally got some time.  Between work from home and school from home the hours of these days just get away from us.  But let's talk about cards...

And here is today's project...

I have been seeing so many fellow demonstrators color this gorgeous paper and I had to try it! How do you think it came out?! I used the soft, subtle colors of Mint Macaron, So Saffron and Crumb Cake.  I left a few of the areas white which I think really helped to pop the colors off the page! Pair those colors with a touch of Petal Pink and you have a lovely Mother's Day card!

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, Ornate Garden DSP, Whisper White
Stamps: Well Said, Ornate Thanks
Ink: Petal Pink
Tools: Ornate Layers die-cuts, Well Written die-cuts
Accessories: Organza ribbon, From My Heart suite faceted gems

Card: A Flowering Desert

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post and Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is able to enjoy a restful and peaceful Saturday.  It has been a busy few weeks between working and schooling from home, so I was thankful to have a few minutes to be creative and regroup this morning.  We are hoping that the rain holds off this afternoon for some much needed time out in our garden.

And here is this morning's project...

Today's project is a mix of old and new products.  I designed this for my grandpa who used to travel the country in his RV and motorcycle.  He loved taking in the scenery along his Texas drives and I hope this card reminds him of those times.  I have to admit that this stamp set (Flowering Desert) did not get inked up enough and I am glad I pulled it out for this card.  It is lovely and creates such a calming image.  I mixed the Flowering Desert with some newer (and now available) products such as the Tropical Oasis DSP and Ornate Thanks stamp set for the sentiment.  A quick add of Gilded Gems and you've created a simple and lovely card.

I added some additional details to the inside of the card.  I couldn't put the stamps and inks away because I was just having too much fun.  I carried the Ornate Thanks sentiment to the inside of the card and used a few stamped details to the envelope to finish things off.

Be sure to tell someone you love that they are amazing today! I know I have plenty of people in my life that amaze me and I hope I tell them often enough.

Card Details
Size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Paper: Night of Navy, Tropical Oasis DSP, Whisper White
Stamps: Flowering Desert, Ornate Thanks
Ink: Old Olive, Terracotta Tile, Crumb Cake
Tools: Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, Banner Punch
Accessories: Gilded Gems

Case it Up Tuesday: Introducing the Ornate Garden Suite

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post...and Oh Happy Day! My happy mail arrived this past weekend from Stampin' Up! and I could not wait to get into all my new goodies.  I ordered the new Ornate Garden Suite and I could not be more impressed with these new products.

I have to admit that I decided to buy the whole suite based on one image from the suite marketing tools and I had to absolutely give that card a try first! I love how it turned out! I hope you do to.

And here is today's CASE'd project...

The main layout and colors of the card are CASE'd directly from Stampin' Up! But instead of using the "Thanks" stamp I used a combination of sentiments from the Well Said and Sunshine Sayings sets.  The terracotta tile ribbon is secured with a staple for an added twist.

Card Details

Paper: Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Terracotta Tile, Petal Pink

Card: A Thursday Bee Surprise

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I have another special Thursday post.  Given today's circumstances I am finding so many reasons to get in my craft room, put cards together and send those cards out to let friends and loved ones know that I'm thinking about them.

And here is today's project...

Check out these close-ups below! Don't forget to add some little touches to the inside of your card to really pull everything together.

Check out this second version as well.  Do you have a favorite?

Card: Peaceful Poppies with a Heart Twist

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I hope everyone is staying healthy, positive and finding ways to be thankful during this difficult time.  I have been sincerely enjoying this time with my family and am trying to take time to enjoy the simple things in life.

I thought I would get started on a few upcoming holiday cards in my spare time and wanted to play along with the Peaceful Poppies paper with today's project.  This paper is beautiful, says "Spring" like no other and I love the coordinating color combinations.

And here is today's project...

Today's project combines a variety of different sets and shows just how versatile the Stampin' Up! products can be.  The base of this card is the Crumb Cake cardstock and then features the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper as the focal point of the card!  For the center portion, you can use a circle punch or the Layering Circles die-cuts to create your focus.  The hearts are a combination of  the Scalloped Heart Punch available with the From My Heart suite and the stitched mini hearts from the Be Mine die-cuts (retired).  Pair those lovely hearts with some faceted gems and linen twine to pull the whole card together! Lovely!

I made two different versions because I was so inspired with this layout and did not want any of this beautiful paper to go to waste! Do you have a favorite?!

Card Details
Size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Paper: Crumb Cake, Peaceful Poppies, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set: Sunshine Sayings
Tools: Layering Circles die-cuts, Be Mine Stitched die-cuts, Scalloped Heart Punch, Banner Punch
Accessories: Linen Twine, From My Heart faceted gems
