Card: A Sweet Valentine's Card!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! I have been busy preparing for my first card workshop at our local library.  I am so excited for this opportunity and I can't wait to share my love of cards with the community.  You can check out all the details on my workshop page.

I wanted to share today's card as it will be one of the samples available to create at the workshop.  The workshop is a Valentine theme, so of course I had to showcase the From My Heart Specialty DSP.  This paper and stamp set is amazing and I have loved everything that I have made with it so far.  There are so many coordinating products as well that there is something for everybody.  From colorful paper and stamps to shiny gems and satin ribbon, Stampin' Up! makes it easy to create a beautiful Valentine's creation.

And here is today's project...

I did combine the new From My Heart Suite with the Stitched Be Mine die-cuts available in the Annual Catalog.  You can never have too many hearts on a Valentine's Day card, so I just kept adding.  I love that each heart showcases a slightly different product, which was a happy accident! With this set, I finally purchased the Real Red ink pad and I love the richness of the color!  It is bold and festive and I can't wait to make lots more Valentine's Day projects with these sets.

And don't forget about the inside of your card! Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

Card: Tee it Up!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! A happy Tuesday to all my readers! The weather in Austin has been fantastic as of late and I thought it was the perfect time to post this card featuring my family's favorite sport...Golf! We love a nice sunny day for golf and I know I have several family members who cannot wait to get my little on the golf course...LPGA here we come! I am ready for her to get on the golf course as well because we are one swing away from knocking lots of important things off of shelves :/

I thought it was a great time to get ahead on some Birthday or maybe Father's Day cards for the important guys in my life.  And let me tell you that is easy with the all new Country Club Designer Series Paper (#151314).

And here is today's project...

I started this card with a base of Night of Navy Cardstock and then another layer of Crumb Cake.  Looks to me like water and sand and what a perfect way to showcase the tees and golf balls on the DSP.  I just wanted to let the DSP shine on this one, so overall it was a pretty simple card to create.  You can't really see it in the photo, but I did pop the front layer between the Night of Navy and the Crumb Cake with Stampin' Dimensionals.

And don't forget about the inside of your card! Not one to waste a bit of this DSP, I added a side strip down the inside of the card!

Card Details
Size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Stamps: Sunshine Sayings, Flowering Desert
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake

It's #SimpleStamping Time!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! We are back to school, back to work and back to our usual shenanigans as a family now that we have said goodbye to the Christmas holidays.  With all of those things going on, I am always thankful to have some time to reset for the week and enjoy some creative time.

That being said...sometimes I don't have THAT much time to create so welcome to my first edition of #simplestamping! I love the idea of the #simplestamping challenge because it helps to get back to basics while showcasing some beautiful stamps, satisfying that creative itch and just having fun with paper, ink and stamps! I took this opportunity to showcase the gorgeous Thoughtful Blooms set featured in the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog!

And here is today's project...

Talk about a simple and fun stamping project.  I love the clean, white background with the beautiful color of flowers.  It makes me think of spring and with this dreary, winter weather it's exactly what I need.

This card starts with a base of Crumb Cake layered with Whisper White and a popped strip of Neutrals 6" x 6" DSP.  The twine bow gives that look of simple, spring bouquet.  I pulled the ink colors from my stash of retired products, but they are still some of my favorites...Powder Pink, Fresh Fig and Garden Green.  The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake to coordinate with the base cardstock.  While my ink colors are on the older side, my stamp set is from the all new 2020 Sale-A-Brations catalog...Thoughtful Blooms.  You can get this set for free with a $50 Sale-A-Bration purchase.  For further details on all the fun with Sale-A-Bration, check out my post HERE.
