Card Kit: Simply Citrus

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I am so excited for today's post because I was finally able to break out the all new Simply Citrus All Inclusive Kit.  I wasn't sure what to think of ordering my first kit, but after trying it out...I love it! It's such a great kit for "on-the-go" card making (i.e. not alot of time, but a whole lot of need to craft).  The kit comes fully equipped with all the supplies needed to follow the simple instructions or you can do what I did and add on what you have on hand! Check out my creations below with the all new Simply Citrus All Inclusive Kit!

And here is today's (alternate) creation...

This kit is so fun and simple.  I loved putting these cards together and they make for such summer fun.  Today's card started with one of the card bases from the kit.  I added a strip of Night of Navy cardstock layered with a strip of the 2020-2022 In Colors Just Jade cardstock down the middle.  I was inspired by this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch, so used that as a jumping off point.  The side lemons were fussy cut from the provided kit cardstock and who doesn't need a little "Hello Sunshine" in their life right now!? Add the clear, glossy flowers for extra embellishment.  Again, I love that you can follow the simple instructions or really make these cards your own! Check out one more alternate creation below and a few of my finished products straight from the kit instructions! Happy "Kit" Crafting!

Card: Introducing the new In Colors!

Hello and Welcome!

Oh Happy Day! My new Stampin' Up! order arrived last weekend and I couldn't wait to dig in and craft! It was so much like Christmas and brought a smile to this little crafter's face!

I'm so excited to share today's project as it is my first project with Stampin' Up!'s new In Colors...Hooray!

And here is today's project...

This card was so simple to put together and I love how it turned out.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on my Butterfly Gala stamp set and I know this is going to be a set that I use for all sorts of occasions!

Start with Whisper White cardstock cut to a size A2 card.  Crop a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4".  Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner and send it through the Big Shot with the 3D Subtle Embossing Folder.  Stamp the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and punch with the coordinating Butterfly Punch.  Position the butterflies as shown and adhere to the card base.  Viola! A simple and beautiful card featuring the all new Stampin' Up! In Colors.

Card: Black and White with a Pop of Pink

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I have just a short and quick card to share today.  Life has been crazy in this house lately and finding time to craft was a little difficult this week.  But I found a little time and put this quick and easy card together with the help from a card challenge.

And here is today's project...

My new Stampin' Up! order is on its way and I definitely added the Butterfly Punch with the coordinating Butterfly Gala to the list.  I can't wait till they arrive, but in the mean time I pulled out this retired DSP and put it to work.  I love the simple black and white paper with the pop of Flirty Flamingo.

Start with Basic Black cardstock cut to an A2 card size.  Layer with a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I did send the Flirty Flamingo through the Big Shot with the 3D Subtle Embossing Folder for an added bit of design.  Layer a piece of Basic Black and the beautiful butterfly DSP.  Put the cardstock layers together in an off-center position.  I added a little bit of color to the butterfly paper with some Flirty Flamingo and Garden Green ink.  Stamp your sentiment and crop with the Triple Banner Punch.  Add some From My Heart Faceted Gems for added flair.

Card Details

Card: A Tropical Paradise!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! I'm so excited to share today's project.  I was able to find lots of time to craft this weekend and it was wonderful! It is so good for the soul to find time to express yourself in a creative way.  I also love knowing that the cards that I make are bringing sunshine and smiles to others.

And here is today's project...

Today's card is all about summer! It's all about those beautiful, tropical scenes along the beach.  This is such a fun girly card as well and perfect for any of those best girlfriends in your life.  I chose to make this a birthday card, but any fun, sweet sentiment will do.

Start with a piece of Flirty Flamingo cut to size A2.  Add a piece of Tropical Oasis DSP cut to 2 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Using the stamparatus, stamp your sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink and crop using the rectangle die-cut from the Ornate Borders die-cut set.  Add a selection of vellum die-cut leaves and secure your die-cut sentiment using pop-ups.  My vellum leaves are from an old Paper Pumpkin kit and I'm so glad I never get rid of extra pieces.  Add that lovely adirondack chair and some faceted gems for extra flair.

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Flirty Flamingo cardstock, Tropical Oasis DSP, Whisper White cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock, Vellum
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green
Stamps: Well Said, Thoughtful Blooms
Tools: Ornate Borders die-cuts, Seasonal Layers die-cuts
Accessories: From My Heart Faceted Gems

Today's card was inspired by the following challenges:

Record day for challenges! I told you I had lots of time to craft :)
