Card: Sneak Peek 2 "Magnolia Lane Suite"

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! My project today once again features a sneak peek into the new Stampin' Up! Magnolia Lane suite.  It is a beautiful set of products and I think it will quickly become a favorite when it becomes available on June 4th!

And here is today's card...

The paper of this card is the reverse of a previous project and it is just as beautiful as the first.  I love how the paper can do all the work, but the little butterfly accent and the mossy meadow linen thread can add just an extra touch.

Not forgetting about the envelope...the magnolia stamp was also used on the envelope flap for added design.

See some additional photos below of today's project (includes a sneak peek photo of a portion of the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set!)...

Quick tip: The magnolia stamp was stamped on the front of the card using Mossy Meadow.  I thought it needed just a little extra color.  So I took a Q-tip and lightly touched it to the ink pad (Mossy Meadow first) getting just a bit of ink on the tip.  Then I lightly touched the leafy area of the stamped image with the inked Q-tip.  Then I repeated the same steps for the flower portion using the Powder Pink ink pad.  Viola! Just a touch of color to the original stamped image (see left image above).

Card Details

Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper:   Crumb Cake, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, Whisper White
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Powder Pink
Stamp Set: Good Morning Magnolia, Make a Difference, August 2018 Paper Pumpkin (inside sentiment)

Accessories: Mossy Meadow Linen Thread

This card was inspired by a previous project that you can see here.  These two cards are some of the first that have been made for my parish Card Ministry.  I am so blessed that I have been given the opportunity to give back to my parish doing something that I love.

Today's project was inspired by the following challenge:

SUO Challenges -

It may be a sympathy card, but hopefully those beautiful spring magnolias fill the family's heart with happiness during a difficult time.

Card: Sneak Peek "Magnolia Lane Suite"

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post!  I am so excited to share today's project because it features some of the latest goodies that will be available starting June 4, 2019 in this year's new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I already have a long "favorites list" and I know you will too once the new catalog is available.  The Designer Series Paper are all keepers and the coordination with the new stamps sets are sure to be a must have for your stamping stash!

And here is today's project...

Having to put together a sympathy card is always a difficult one.  But I hope that I can bring a little joy during a difficult time when I present a friend or loved one with a handmade card.  With the new Magnolia Lane products, creating a sympathy card is a little easier as the paper, stamps and sentiments are lovely, sophisticated and lend themselves to creating a card with a peaceful and tranquil message.

The card stock featured is from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper set and the magnolia stamp is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  Both of these products will be available beginning June 4, 2019.

I featured two carryover products with the sentiment stamp (Make A Difference Stamp Set #146676) and die cut (Well Said Die Cut #148534).  Both of these products have been so useful in my craft room as they can be used for a variety of occasions.

See some additional photos below of today's project (includes a sneak peek photo of a portion of the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set!)...

The large magnolia stamp is used both on the inside sentiment as well as some additional decoration to the envelope flap.

Card: Well Said Thank You

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! Only one more day till the weekend! I hope everyone is getting ready for a restful Easter weekend.  Well, "restful" may be a generous term when you have a 4 year old, but we are definitely looking forward to our Easter egg hunts and a trip to see the Easter Bunny! Of course, Sunday will be filled with church followed by Easter brunch with the family, so it is sure to be a good day.

Before the weekend kicks off, I wanted to share today's card.  I have to say I am a bit sad to say goodbye to the Fresh Fig and Powder Pink In Colors.  I know some exciting new colors are coming down the line (and boy do I love new things), but they have been some of my favorite colors so I shed just a little tear.  So in honor of these retiring In Colors, I decided to feature the Fresh Fig card stock in today's card.

And here is today's card...

The card base, die cut sentiment and sprig stamps all feature the Fresh Fig In Color.  It was a coordinating color to the Share What You Love DSP, so it was the perfect base to highlight the framed DSP.

I am loving the Well Said bundle and cannot say how much use I have gotten out of these sentiments.  I think they are the perfect combination of simple yet sophisticated.  The cute, little butterfly is also cut from that set, so it even offers more than just sentiments.

A simple button and linen twine from the corner of the frame finish off the sprig punch accents.

Card Details

Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Paper: Fresh Fig, Whisper White, Share What You Love DSP, Old Olive
Ink: Fresh Fig
Tools: Well Said Cling Bundle
Accessories: Silver button, linen twine

Card: Wishing You Well

Hello and Welcome!

A happy Saturday to everyone! I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.  Hopefully, you are getting some time to craft and/or find inspiration for future crafting projects.

I designed a card today that I have fallen in love with and I plan to use this design and/or color scheme in future projects for sure.  The stamp set featured is the "Wishing You Well" set and the colors used today are Crumb Cake, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig.  I think the colors could go either way as either spring or fall, so take your pick!

And here is today's card...

Card Details

Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Crumb Cake, Powder Pink, Fresh Fig
Stamp Set: Wishing You Well, sentiment of your choice
Accessories: Rectangle Stitched Framelits, silver button, linen twine, mini dimensionals, snail adhesive

Here is a close up of the detail on the lovely, embellished sentiment.  If you haven't tried adding a vellum background to your cards, I highly recommend it! I think that added layer just makes the sentiment pop out and gives it a nice, soft touch.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenge:

Love those tiny flowers in the background!

I would love to hear your comments on today's project! Don't forget to leave them below!
