Card: Bring on the Christmas Cards!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post!  I am so excited to have the opportunity to partner with the Bee Cave Public Library for today's project.  The card featured in today's post will be available starting Tuesday, December 1st as a "take-home" card kit to go.  If you are local to the Austin, TX area, be sure to stop by the Bee Cave Public Library during their curbside hours to pick up your kit and you too can be making lovely handmade cards in no time! You can check out more details in the December newsletter found here

And here is today's project...

Today's card features the lovely Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.  It is a wonderful collection of Christmas styled paper that coordinates with the Old Olive, Real Red and Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Today's card features a base of Old Olive and a pop of Real Red on the wreath bow.  The die-cuts are part of the Word Wishes set and pair perfectly with this card's A2 size.  I have always loved the Alpine Adventure and Alpine Sports stamp and die-cut sets.  This was one of the first sets I started working with and I still love it! I was excited to pair this lovely, little sled with the latest Christmas die-cuts. Check out some close up pictures below.

Card Details
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White, Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, Real Red, In Good Taste Designer Series Paper
Ink: N/A
Stamps: N/A
Tools: Word Wishes die-cuts, Alpine Sports die-cuts
Accessories: Metallic Sequins, White Twine

For assembly, I would recommend starting with the card base of Old Olive and work from the inside of the card out (see below of the complete kit supplies).

Each of the cardstock pieces supplied in the kit have come prepped with tear-and-tape adhesive on the back.  Simply peel the top layer to expose the adhesive and secure each piece.

The die-cut "Merry Christmas" as well as the metallic sequin can be secured using the set of 6 glue dots provided.  The wreath has been prepped with a mini-dimensional adhesive dot to add an extra 3D layer.

Not included in the kit is a piece of white twine that I used on the sled as its pull string.  This is an added little touch for those who happen to have some extra supplies in their crafting stash.  You could also add some additional Christmas sequins if you'd like - you can never have too much "bling"!

I hope you've enjoyed today's project! Again, if you are local to the Austin, TX area, swing by the library to pick up your kit this Christmas season! Leave a comment or reach out via email if you have any questions! Happy Crafting!
