Card: Beautiful Butterflies

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to today's post! As promised, this week's project is a second card inspired by Stampin' Up!'s "Saying Thanks" kit.  Last week's project featured lots of colorful stamping, but this week was all about the punches!  I dug deep into my supplies and pulled out the butterfly duet punch for this colorful card.

And here is today's project...

Instead of featuring a lovely set of hearts, I've always loved punching out these beautiful butterflies and thought they were a good substitution for this card.  Creating the rainbow look was easy with the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  Just pick your favorite colors, punch and glue! You could arrange the butterflies in different patterns as well - maybe try a diagonal design! Check out the 3D look of those butterflies in the picture below.  Simple trick: Glue your butterfly down in the middle and fold up the wings for that perfect "float" look!

Don't forget to use a butterfly stamp or stamp of your choice to add a little design to the inside of your card!

  2. This card is beautiful! I wish I had seen it before the punch retired (or am I missing it on the website somehow?).

    1. Hello! This is a retired punch but don't forget you could always use a heart or just simple geometric shapes in a rainbow color scheme! Thanks for stopping by the blog this week!
